About the Commonwealth Business Forum

The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) will be one of the first large in-person gatherings for Governments and Business across the Commonwealth since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The CBF has grown into an important international event, taking advantage of the gathering of Commonwealth Heads of Government at CHOGM to attract business, institutional and Government leaders from across the 54 countries.

Hosted as a partnership between the Government of Rwanda and Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) this year’s forum will address the CHOGM Theme ‘Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming’, with a focus on “A Global Reset”, dealing with the impact of the pandemic and the Commonwealth’s role in rebuilding and reinvigorating the global economy. The Government and Business delegates attending the Forum will discuss practical ways to enhance trade, showcase investment opportunities and promote sustainable development in a world coping with the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) has grown into a major international event, drawing together business and government leaders from across the Commonwealth for a dialogue on practical ways to use common networks to enhance trade and investment.

Always influential, this year’s Forum, 2021 will set a new, higher standard for a leadership event on a wide spectrum of topics, all focused on economic and social growth, underpinned by the long-term thinking demanded by a sustainable approach for the Commonwealth.

The Forum will be structured around plenary sessions and interactive workshops over three days. It is a platform for B2G and B2B discussion at the very highest levels, addressing key themes that affect the 54 diverse Commonwealth member nations.

Multiple opportunities for one-to-one business meetings as well as networking during the specially programmed networking breaks, the Forum Reception and Gala Dinner will be facilitated.
